    Description

    Two profile templates used to create clay models of dinnerware for Mikasa. These are from Seibel’s personal collection, given to me by Mrs. Seibel in 1997 as a gift. Both are made of plywood, clear plastic sheet, and metal tacks or staples.
    Included:
    1. Template marked “D PLATE” in faint black ink. 2" x 9"
    2. Template for small bowl.
    Proceeds from this sale will go towards further research into Ben Seibel’s work.
    These are nice items for Seibel “completists” and could be framed and displayed along with his ceramics. The clay models produced from these templates were all shipped to Syracuse University and are in the Special Collections at the library.
